டெல்லி: புகை பிடிப்பதால் ஏற்படும் அபாயங்கள் குறித்து சித்தரிக்கும் புதிய எச்சரிக்கைப் படம் மற்றும் வாசகங்கள், சிகரெட் மற்றும் புகையிலைப் பொருட்களின் பாக்கெட்களில் இடம் பெறவுள்ளன.
டிசம்பர் 1ம் தேதி முதல் இந்த புதிய படங்களுடன் கூடிய பாக்கெட்கள் விற்பனைக்கு வரும்.
இதில், புகைப் பழக்கம் இல்லாதவர்கள் மற்றும் புகைப் பழக்கம் உள்ளவர்களின் நுரையீரல் மற்றும் வாய் ஆகியவற்றில் ஏற்படும் பாதிப்புகளை படமாக சித்தரித்துள்ளனர்.
இந்தப் படங்கள் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஒருமுறை மாற்றப்படும். இதுதொடர்பான கெஜட் அறிவிப்பை மத்திய சுகாதாரத் துறை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
Packets of tobacco products will have to carry new gory pictorial warnings from December 1 as the government today came out with separate sets of graphics of cancer-affected lungs and mouth for smoking and smokeless forms of tobacco. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a gazette notification on new pictorial warnings, which have come after prolonged delay. There are two existing warnings like scorpion and damaged lungs for cigarettes while a stricter one was to be depicted from December one, 2010.
