ஏர் இந்தியா பைலட்கள் ஸ்டிரைக்கால் ரூ. 100 கோடி இழப்பு

டெல்லி: ஏர் இந்தியா நிறுவன பைலட்கள் மேற்கொண்டு வரும் கால வரையற்ற வேலைநிறுத்தப் போராட்டத்தால் இதுவரை ரூ. 100 கோடி அளவுக்கு இழப்பு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. போராட்டம் முடிவுக்கு வருவதாகத் தெரியவில்லை.

கிட்டத்தட்ட 800 விமானிகள் வேலைக்குச் செல்லாமல் தொடர்ந்து போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர். ஒருவாரமாகி விட்டது ஸ்டிரைக் தொடங்கி. இதுவரை முடிவு எதுவும் ஏற்படுவதாகத் தெரியவில்லை. விமானிகளைப் பேச்சுவார்த்தைக்கு ஏர் இந்தியா நிறுவனம் பலமுறை அழைத்தும் அதை அவர்கள் ஏற்க மறுத்து விட்டனர்.

இந்த வேலை நிறுத்தப் போராட்டத்தால் தினசரி ரூ 20 கோடி அளவுக்கு இழப்பு ஏற்படுகிறது. இதுவரை ரூ. 100 கோடி அளவுக்கு இழப்பு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாக ஏர் இந்தியா தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

90 சதவீத விமானங்களை இயக்க முடியாமல் திணறுகிறது ஏர் இந்தியா நிறுவனம். வெறும் 10 சதவீத விமானங்கள் மட்டுமே இயங்கி வருகின்றன.

இதற்கிடையே, வேலைநிறுத்தம் செய்து வரும் விமானிகளின் ஏப்ரல் மாத சம்பளத்தை நிறுத்தி வைக்க ஏர் இந்தியா நிறுவனம் முடிவு செய்துள்ளது. வேலை பார்க்காவிட்டால் சம்பளம் கிடையாது என்ற கொள்கையை கடைப்பிடிக்க முடிவு செய்திருப்பதாக நிறுவனம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

அதேசமயம் மற்றவர்களுக்கு சம்பளம் வழங்க வங்கிகளிடமிருந்து கடன்களைப் பெற நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

With close to 800 Air India pilots refusing to return to cockpits for a week now, the airline has suffered losses in excess of Rs. 100 crore. With only 10 per cent domestic flights operating, the national carrier has been losing Rs. 20 crore per day for the last three days. The airline, as a result of the strike, has curtailed 90 per cent of its domestic flights till May 6. Air India has also decided to withhold salaries for the month of April of the pilots on strike. "We are implementing 'no work, no pay' against all those who are not reporting for duty. Their April salary will not be processed if they do not join work", an Air India officer said. The officer, who requested anonymity, said the company was making efforts to garner resources to pay the salaries to the rest of the employees. Bank loans were also being organised, he said.
