விடியற்காலையில் வீசும்
வேப்பம் பூ வாசம்….

ஜன்னலில் நுழையும்
இதமான தென்றல்…

அவ்வப்போது பெய்யும்
ஆலங்கட்டி மழை….

விடுமுறையை கழிக்க
ஊருக்கு வரும் நீ…

என எல்லாமே
நெஞ்சில் பசுமையாய்
பதிந்திருக்கும்….

வானத்தில் வர்ணஜாலம்
நிகழ்ந்த ஒரு அந்திப்பொழுதில்
உன் வரவை எதிர்பார்த்து
ஒற்றைப் பனைமரத்தடியில்
காத்திருந்தேன்…
ஆனால்
நீ வராமல் சென்றுவிட்டாய்…..

இன்றைக்கும்
இளவேனிற்காலத்தில்
பூக்கும் வேப்பம்பூக்கள்
என் நினைவுகளைப் போல
தெருவெங்கும்
கொட்டிக் கிடக்கும்…
அதை எடுத்து சேகரிக்க
நீ இல்லை.
