After the death of Osama bin Laden, groups allied to al-Qaeda could launch terror attacks in Africa, experts have cautioned as several Islamic groups in South Africa condemned his killing by US forces. "Africa is not immune to terrorism and while al-Qaeda could possibly decline because of Bin Laden's death there are many other organisations, especially in the Horn of Africa, which were greatly influenced by al-Qaeda, that could rise up and pose a threat to peace and security on the continent," African Institute of South Africa security research head Dr Sylvester Maphosa told the weekly Saturday Star.
