தமிழ்நாடு சபாநாயகர்கள்

மெட்ராஸ் சட்டசபையின் முதல் சபாநாயகராக பதவி வகித்தவர் சிவசண்முகம் பிள்ளை. 1937ஆம் ஆண்டில் சென்னை மேயராக பதவி வகித்தவர். இவர் சபாநாயகராக மே 6, 1952 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து ஆகஸ்ட் 16,1955 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை பதவி வகித்துள்ளார். தமிழக சட்டசபையில் 17 சபாநாயகர்கள் பதவி வகித்துள்ளனர். பி. தனபால் கடந்த அக்டோபர் 10, 2012 அன்று சபாநாயகராக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார். தொடர்ந்து மே 16, 2016 அன்று மீண்டு சபாநாயகராக பதவியேற்றுள்ளார். இவர் தலித் சமுதாயத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்.
